No prophet is accepted in his home town, Jesus said shortly after the people of Nazareth brushed him off as the carpenter’s son, and if that statement holds true, I can guess we can infer that Vancouver-born Milan Lucic is a prophet. (Far be it from me to compare to Lucic to Jesus, mind you, since Jesus was far less concerned with making sure people knew who he was.)
Lucic and his family have already been victimized a few times by moronic Vancouver fans. During the Stanley Cup Final, some idiot Canucks boosters threw food at his grandparents. Shortly after the Final, his family’s church in Burnaby was vandalized.
