Introducing the Unreal Canucks GIF Tournament, a quest to determine which Canucks GIF is the greatest in existence. We’ve narrowed it down to 32 candidates, divided into four divisions then seeded, one through eight. Now we need your help. An important note: this isn’t just something to do while the players and the owners waste time bickering over who should get what’s left of the money they’re burning — it’s also a super-important initiative. After all, if we don’t do this, how else will we know? AND WE MUST KNOW.

Hansen is clearly overcome by David Booth’s magnificent golden curls and succumbs to giddiness. The only defense he can muster against Booth’s hypnotizing blue eyes is to swat away the aura of seduction they create. Either that or Hansen is a lovable goofball.
(6) We call this gif JANNIK HANSEN, INFREQUENT GOAL-SCORER.
And it looks like “lovable goofball” is the term of the day. You have to love Hansen’s commitment to celebrating this goal. Even when everything goes wrong with his initial leap and he loses his balance. He still attempts to jump victoriously in the air, which instead sends him directly to the ice. It’s possible that what this gif is really doing is capturing Hansen’s attempts to fly, as he throws himself at the ground but does not miss.
