Introducing the Unreal Canucks GIF Tournament, a quest to determine which Canucks GIF is the greatest in existence. We’ve narrowed it down to 32 candidates, divided into four divisions then seeded, one through eight. Now we need your help. An important note: this isn’t just something to do while the players and the owners waste time bickering over who should get what’s left of the money they’re burning — it’s also a super-important initiative. After all, if we don’t do this, how else will we know? AND WE MUST KNOW.

Remember when a large chunk of Canucks fans nearly hated Kevin Bieksa because of his frequent lapses in judgement in the defensive zone? If not, this gif will bring them all back. The best part is that even if Bieksa had succeeded in what he was trying to do, it was still the wrong thing to do. Clearing the puck directly into the path of an opponent heading towards the net? That’s just begging for it to deflect off a shin pad and in. Thankfully, it ended in a much more hilarious fashion. And now Canucks fans can thank their lucky stars that Dan Hamhuis came along when he did.
