There comes an age when children are old enough to make up their minds about which sports teams they like and which teams they don’t. Prior to that age, however, they simply repeat what they’re told by the grown-ups around them. As an example, I present to you this video, in which hardcore fan Isaac uses his babysitting time with toddler Sarah to ensure that she is appropriately pro-Canucks and anti-Bruins.
It’s a pretty stupid video, but I find it super cute. So now you have to watch it. Don’t worry, it’s short.
“Sarah, do you like the Vancouver Canucks?”
“Yesh.”
Sarah is adorable. “Yesh” aside, I especially love when she responds to “Do you like the Boston Bruins” with a whispered “No” because Isaac fed her the answer in a whisper. And it’s hard not to chuckle after she apes his triumphant laugh with the exact same laugh.
Anyway. It’s a slow day, obviously. GET OFF MY BACK.
