The Canucks were at the Vancouver Convention Centre Thursday night for the the 12th annual Sports Celebrities Festival, a charity event co-organized by the Vancouver Canucks and Special Olympics BC. The evening featured dinner, silent auctions, video games, and plenty of opportunities to pose for photos with members of the Canucks and the individual awards they won last season.
Of course, by now you probably know how this works: if Ryan Kesler is at an event where cameras are in use, he’s gonna sneak in a couple Keslurks, and Thursday night was a shenanigan-heavy affair.
Yesterday, TV/Radio host Aamer Haleem tweeted the following photo in which he poses with CTV’s Norma Reid. You may notice that a certain Canucks’ centre took the opportunity to bomb the photo. Yeah, he’ll do that.
According to Haleem, Kesler was seated near them during dinner, so no, Kesler didn’t sprint halfway across the room the moment he saw the camera come out. He just happened to be there.
And if you opted to pose for a photo with the Jennings trophy and its co-winners, Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider, you might want to doublecheck the curtain behind you for Ryan Kesler, because it looks like he spent much of the evening lurking in it.
What a weird guy.
Seems to me Kesler treated the Sports Celebrities Festival much the same way the vampires treated that Alaskan town in 30 Days of Night – it was just a pure feeding frenzy. If you were at this event, do us a solid and check your digital cameras, because there’s a good chance Ryan Kesler’s creeping about in the background of one of your photos.Tags: featured, Kesler, Keslurking
