Some of you might remember the above photo from this month-old post, in which we uncovered an odd photo that gave one the indication that Sami Salo found his hockey gloves exceedingly delicious. The photo is back, for two reasons: First, Bulie @damirk made the above photoshop, and I think it’s hilarious. Poor Salo looks genuinely tortured by Jannik Hansen’s chocolatey birthday cake. One imagines that, seconds after Jeff Vinnick snapped this photo, Salo dug in. Maybe Vinnick did too, who knows what that shifty dude is up to? Second, this is the slowest offseason ever, so it’s time for a photoshop contest.
Like putting one’s junk in a box, this is an easy, three-step process. Step 1: put something on the ledge so it looks like Salo is salivating at the sight of it. Step 2. Laugh at how clever you are. Step 3: e-mail it to harrisonmooney@gmail.com or tweet it to @passittobulis so that we can see it and laugh also.
The best photoshop wins the good feelings that come from providing a hockey blog with free quality content. And if intangible prizes aren’t your thing, we’ll throw in a copy of the Canucks Annual magazine from my personal stash of courtesy copies. August 26, 2011This is all funny and stuff, but what’s all this kafuffle about Hansen being a target in the Bruins/Canucks game this year? Did he do something in the series that I missed? He seems to be being put in the same category as Lapierre and Burrows for some reason. Not my sweet little beaker!

August 26, 2011He gave some Bruin an elbow or something. It’s on HF boards, Bruins boards, CDC. I’m surprised. I though Jannick was a pretty straightforward player and it certainly would be a novel thing to have him be a target. Not that I spend my time trolling around, but that link on the Sun to the Boston Horton article made me waste about six hours of my precious paid time just reading all the crap about this apology nonsense, and mixed in amongst all that was stuff about Hansen being a target in the one and only game the Canucks will play against Boston in the 2012 season for whatever it is that he did — and I’m sure it was just one thing — along with Lapierre and Burrows. If I can find a link I’ll post it if you’re interested.

August 26, 2011Darn this wordpress with replies! Re: Hansen hate — this is what I could find in a few minutes, but I had found more than one reference in various places. I actually found an interview on NESN going back to just after the win — an interview with a player that references Jannick being on the radar for the one and only game next year. How Jannick is growing and maturing right before our very eyes!
