On the late December day they traded team captain Craig Cunningham, the Giants pretty much conceded their team was not of championship calibre, or even a real contender. Now that the playoffs have arrived, that appears to be the case. The G-Men are down 3-0 in their best-of-seven series to the Tri-City Americans and looked clearly to be the second best team at Pacific Coliseum on Tuesday in a 4-0 loss. The Americans power play went 3-for-6 while the Giants were 0-for-4 and that’s the story. The Giants have been outscored 11-5 in the three games. They’ve been outshot in every game, although the last two have been close. The simple fact of the matter is Tri-City has better players than the Giants and that’s why they’re up and the Giants are down….
